Description
Description
The BIONOTE Anigen Rapid Leishmania Ab Test Kit is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay designed for the qualitative detection of Leishmania infantum antibodies in dogs.
Leishmania infection can cause canine leishmaniasis, a significant vector-borne disease in dogs. This rapid test provides veterinarians with a convenient method for screening canine blood samples for antibodies associated with Leishmania infantum.
The test can be performed using canine whole blood, serum, or plasma and does not require additional laboratory equipment. BIONOTE specifies a testing time of approximately 20 minutes.
Key Features
- Detects Leishmania infantum antibodies
- Designed specifically for dogs
- Suitable for whole blood, serum, or plasma
- Rapid chromatographic immunoassay
- Results in approximately 20 minutes
- Convenient point-of-care veterinary test
- No analyzer or specialized laboratory equipment required
- 10 tests per kit
What Does This Test Detect?
The test detects antibodies against Leishmania infantum in canine samples.
Because this is an antibody test, it detects the dog's immune response rather than directly detecting the parasite. Results should therefore be interpreted together with the dog's clinical signs, history, physical examination, and other laboratory findings.
