Sample Collection

The recommended specimen for the Rapid FPV Ag test is feline feces. BIONOTE specifically states that blood or serum is not the appropriate specimen for this FPV antigen kit.

General Test Procedure

  1. Collect an appropriate amount of feline fecal specimen using the supplied swab.

  5. Using the supplied disposable dropper, transfer the prepared sample to the test device.

Result Interpretation

Negative

Only the Control (C) line appears.

This indicates that the test did not detect FPV antigen in the specimen at the applicable detection level.

Positive

Both the Control (C) and Test (T) lines appear.

This indicates that Feline Panleukopenia Virus antigen has been detected.

Invalid

If the required control line does not appear, the result is invalid and the test should be repeated with a new device.
