Description
Description
BIONOTE Rapid FIV Ab/FeLV Ag is a rapid immunochromatographic diagnostic test designed for cats. It simultaneously detects antibodies against Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and antigen of Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) in feline whole blood, serum, or plasma.
The test provides a convenient point-of-care screening solution for veterinary clinics and animal health professionals, with results available rapidly without requiring specialized laboratory equipment.
FIV and FeLV are important feline retroviral infections. The combined test can be useful when screening newly adopted cats, cats with potential exposure, cats showing compatible clinical signs, or as part of a veterinary health assessment.

Important Notes
This is a screening diagnostic test and results should be interpreted by a veterinarian together with the cat's clinical history and other diagnostic findings.
FIV antibody detection can be affected by previous FIV vaccination. BIONOTE notes that vaccination history should be considered, particularly in young cats that have received recent FIV vaccination.
All samples should be handled as potentially infectious. Wear appropriate protective equipment and dispose of used test materials according to applicable regulations.
